Irlen syndrome
Irlen syndrome is an inherited problem of visual perception that renders about 14 -18% of the population unable to read effectively. Irlen syndrome is not an eye problem. Irlen syndrome is the visual perception site of the brain that does not effectively perceive the synchronization of light waves. The disorder remains undetected by standard educational, visual, and medical tests. It is a learning disability.
